Just Tell The Story

I’m trying to watch ANYTHING on Netflix or over the airwaves TV. Really. I’m trying. But my experience in life is that most relationships are between heterosexual and ethnically similar couples. Not exclusively mind you, but most. I have friends who are black, and friends who are brown, Indians of both styles (Turban and Injun), Asians from a mix of origins, and friends who are white. Also have a very few homosexual couples as friends, and singles of every stripe. I’m pretty inclusive when you get right down to it.

I’ve had it with cross-gender bi-racial multi-partner set-ups as being the norm. Really. Sure, put them in the mix. They exist. They’re just not the majority. And never will be. Because the norm is something else altogether. And extended bedroom scenes featuring homosexual couples are fine if they have something to do with the story you’re telling, and not just offered to show how goddam inclusive and edgy you are. OK?

Long as I’m at it, I’d like Netflix to tell me in advance if their foreign offerings are dubbed in English, so I can listen to their programs in my native language. Just slip it into the one-line explanation of what the series or movie is sort of about. Easy…..”Either “Dubbed in English” or “Not dubbed in English”--Easy.
